NovaThreads are a non-surgical procedure available at Dr. Jao’s office. This procedure instantly tightens and subtly lifts the cheeks, jowls (jawline) and neck without surgery!
What are NovaThreads?
They are injectable threads that Dr. Jao places under the skin in different areas to achieve a temporary lifting of the cheeks, the jowls and neck bands that eventually dissolve and are absorbed into the body.
This procedure not only lifts, but tightens skin and encourages the body to build new collagen to improve texture and fullness with natural looking results without surgery, scars or a drastic change to your appearance.
How long do NovaThread results last?
For most patients, the instant result of this procedure will last from 9 to 12 months, and is dependent on such factors as how many threads are placed, and the skin laxity of the patient.
Will the procedure hurt?
The procedure is performed by Dr. Jao, and is quite comfortable for patients, as a local anesthetic is used. Dr. Jao will discuss at length what to expect during your consultation.
What is the recovery time?
There is no downtime with this procedure, and you can expect to continue your daily routine after undergoing treatment. On average, you can expect a degree of soreness for about a week post-treatment, and Dr. Jao will discuss expectations upon consultation.
